Our theme, “Combat, Consolidate and Connect to the Class Struggle,” exemplifies our direction forward in 2022 to combat against US imperialism and the US puppet government in the Philippines, to consolidate our membership and strengthen our leadership, and to continuously engage with working class Filipino youth.
Overall we fight to deepen and strengthen our unity with the Filipino masses and expand our movement against state terror. Come celebrate Anakbayan Toronto’s 10th year in advancing the struggle for National Democracy in the Philippines!
General Assembly Programme
On Day 1️ we will host Rhea Gamana from BAYAN Canada as a keynote speaker and have an educational discussion on the national situation in the Philippines–specifically on Typhoon Odette and the upcoming 2022 Philippine election.
On Day 2️ we will review organizational matters, such as presenting a summary of Anakbayan Toronto’s work in 2021, our objectives for 2022, as well as elect a new executive committee. Throughout the weekend we will also feature cultural performances and solidarity messages from our members and allies.
